§ 143B-1256. Interested commissioners or employees.
No commissioner or employee of any authority shall acquire any interest, direct or indirect, in any veterans' recreation project or in any property included or planned to be included in any project, nor shall he have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract or proposed contract for materials or services to be furnished or used in connection with any such project. If any commissioner or employee of an authority owns or controls an interest, direct or indirect, in any property included or planned to be included in any veterans' recreation project, he shall immediately disclose the same in writing to the authority and such disclosure shall be entered upon the minutes of the authority. Failure so to disclose such interest shall constitute misconduct in office. History (1945, c. 460, s. 7; 2015-241, s. 24.1(g); 2015-268, s. 7.3(a).) Session Laws 2015-241, s. 24.1(ww), as amended by Session Laws 2015-268, s. 7.3(a), made the recodification of this section by Session Laws 2015-241, s. 24.1(g), effective July 1, 2015. Session Laws 2015-241, s. 1.1, provides: "This act shall be known as 'The Current Operations and Capital Improvements Appropriations Act of 2015.'" Session Laws 2015-241, s. 33.6, is a severability clause.
