§ 14-421. Exemptions from provisions of Article.
This Article shall not apply to the possession, exhibition, or handling of reptiles by employees or agents of duly constituted veterinarians, zoos, serpentariums, museums, laboratories, educational or scientific institutions, public and private, in the course of their educational or scientific work, or Wildlife Damage Control Agents in the course of the work for which they are approved by the Wildlife Resources Commission. History (1949, c. 1084, s. 6; 2009-344, s. 1.) Effect of Amendments. - Session Laws 2009-344, s. 1, effective December 1, 2009, and applicable to offenses committed on or after that date, inserted "veterinarians, zoos, serpentariums" and "public and private" near the middle, and added "or Wildlife Damage Control Agents in the course of the work for which they are approved by the Wildlife Resources Commission" at the end.
