§ 166A-40. Title of Article; entering into Compact.

This Article may be cited as the Emergency Management Assistance Compact. The Emergency Management Assistance Compact, hereinafter "Compact", is hereby enacted into law and entered into by this State with all other states legally joining therein, in the form substantially as set forth in this Article. This Compact is made and entered into by and between the party states which enact this Compact. For the purposes of this Article, the term "states" means the several states, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and all United States territorial possessions and the term "party states" means the participating member states which enact and enter into this Compact. Editor's Note. - The sections in this Article have been renumbered as G.S. 166A-40 to 166A-53 at the direction of the Revisor of Statutes, the section numbers in Session Laws 1997-152, s. 1, having been G.S. 166A-34 to 166A-47.
