§ 122C-119. 1. Area Authority board members' training.

All members of the governing body for an area authority shall receive initial orientation on board members' responsibilities and annual training provided by the Department which shall include fiscal management, budget development, and fiscal accountability. A member's refusal to be trained shall be grounds for removal from the board. History (1995, c. 507, s. 23.3; 1995 (Reg. Sess., 1996), c. 749, s. 5; 2012-151, s. 4(a).) Editor's Note. - Session Laws 2012-151, s. 4(b), provides: "The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, in cooperation with the School of Government and the local management entities, shall develop a standardized core curriculum for the training described in subsection (a) of this section."
