§ 121-7. 4. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum.

The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources shall assume from the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, the administration of the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum on Hatteras Island and shall designate it as a member of the State History Museums Division, in accordance with the feasibility study conducted by the Department. History (2007-359, s. 1(a); 2015-241, s. 14.30(s).) Editor's Note. - Session Laws 2007-359, s. 1(b), provides: "Subject to the provisions of G.S. 121-9 and contingent upon successful lease negotiations with the National Park Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, this section becomes effective only if the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum transfers and conveys to the State all its assets." The Revisor of Statutes is informed that the contingencies have been met, so that the section has become effective. Effect of Amendments. - Session Laws 2015-241, s. 14.30(s), effective July 1, 2015, substituted "Department of Natural and Cultural Resources" for "Department of Cultural Resources."
