§ 72-2-3. Oath of office; bond
Before entering upon the duties of his office the state engineer shall take the oath
as prescribed by law for state officials. He shall file with the secretary of the state, a bond, in the penal sum of ten thousand
($10,000) dollars, to be approved by the attorney general, and conditioned upon the
faithful discharge of his duties and for delivery to his successor of all property
belonging to the public then in his possession or control.
