§ 60-14-3. Purpose

It is the intent of the legislature that the large and growing manufactured housing

industry be supervised and regulated by a division of the regulation and licensing

department. The purpose of the Manufactured Housing Act is to insure the purchasers and users

of manufactured homes the essential conditions of health and safety which are their

right and to provide that the business practices of the industry are fair and orderly

among the members of the industry with due regard to the ultimate consumers in this

important area of human shelter.
