§ 25-1-3. Purpose
The purpose of the Food Service Sanitation Act is to protect the public health by
establishing standards and provisions for the regulation of food service establishments
and by appropriate delegations of authority to the board and agency to adopt and enforce
regulations covering the environmental health aspects of food service establishments
to assure that consumers are not exposed to adverse environmental health conditions
arising out of the operations of food service establishments.
