§ 23-3-2. Board created; terms; composition; compensation

A. There is created the “board of trustees of the miners' hospital of New Mexico”. The board shall consist of five members appointed by the governor with the advice

and consent of the senate. One member of the board shall be a licensed physician, two members shall be miners

or their representatives and two members shall be representatives of the general public. Members of the board shall be appointed for staggered terms of five years each,

except that the initial board shall be composed of one member appointed for a term

of one year, one member appointed for a term of two years, one member appointed for

a term of three years, one member appointed for a term of four years and one member

appointed for a term of five years. B. A majority of the board shall constitute a quorum for doing business. C. Members of the board shall receive per diem and mileage as provided in the Per

Diem and Mileage Act 1 and shall receive no other compensation, perquisite or allowance. 1
