§ 21-1-36. New Mexico cooperative education program; purpose

The purpose of the New Mexico cooperative education program is to provide an opportunity

for students in New Mexico post-secondary educational institutions to combine academic

and employment experience by creating and expanding cooperative education programs

in New Mexico colleges and universities, thereby enhancing the educational benefits

and job training received by students who participate in cooperative education. The program shall encourage cooperative education for students from groups most

severely underrepresented in specified fields of study or employment, particularly

women and minorities in engineering.
