§ 1-1-5.6. Ballot question
As used in the Election Code, “ ballot question ” means a question submitted to the voters of the state or a local government on a
ballot pursuant to the provisions of the Election Code and does not include a candidate
nomination, election contest or nonpartisan judicial retention election.
