§ 21-1-26.2. Post-secondary education; adult correctional facilities
Upon approval by the corrections department in consultation with the higher education
department, state-supported post-secondary educational institutions shall receive
credit on a full-time equivalency basis for students enrolled in their respective
programs within adult correctional facilities. Funding recommendations to implement the provisions of this section shall be developed
by the higher education department or the public education department as appropriate
in the same manner that funding recommendations for similar programs at other institutions
are calculated.
