§ 19-7-7. False swearing in application or appraisement
Any person or persons applying to lease or purchase state lands, or acting as appraiser
or appraisers thereof, who shall knowingly and willfully swear falsely as to any material
matter contained in any application to lease or purchase any such lands, or in any
appraisement thereof, shall be deemed guilty of perjury, and upon conviction thereof
shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars [($500)], or by
imprisonment for not more than five years, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
