§ 15-8-7. Purchase of state vehicles; Procurement Code; equipment
A. All state vehicle purchases shall be pursuant to the provisions of the Procurement
Code. All purchases of state vehicles, even those not assigned to the motor pool, shall
be approved by the director. B. Subject to legislative appropriations and directives and the approval of the secretary,
the director shall determine the type and number of state vehicles to be purchased
each year and how they shall be equipped.
