§ acts:saved-54. (45)
5. That no amount shall be paid to the purchaser of lands and premises under this act,
or the act to which this is a supplement, or to his assignee, in case of assignment,
or to the city for the use of said purchaser, or his assignee, for costs and expenses
necessarily incurred in proceedings taken for the purpose of perfecting title thereto,
unless the mayor of the city, where such costs and expenses are incurred, shall approve
of the amount in each case to be paid to said purchaser, assignee or city for the
use of such purchaser.
