§ acts:saved-40. (2)
2. The members of such enlarged board of recreation commissioners, and their successors,
shall be appointed by resolution of the governing body of the municipality for the
term of three years each; provided, however, that the members of the board of recreation
commissioners in office at the time of the adoption of such ordinance shall continue
as members of the board, but for such terms, respectively, as shall be prescribed
by resolution of the governing body of the municipality, which resolution shall also
fix the terms of the additional members of such enlarged board of recreation commissioners
to be first appointed after the adoption of such ordinance in such manner that, as
nearly as practicable, the terms of one-third of all members of such enlarged board
of recreation commissioners shall expire at the end of the year in which such ordinance
shall have been adopted and the terms of one-third of all the members of such board
shall expire at the end of each year thereafter.
