§ acts:saved-40. (11)
12. That the board of education in such borough or other municipality shall, upon such
consolidation, cease and terminate, and such board shall turn over to the board of
education of such city all its funds, books, papers and property, real and personal,
of which it may be seized or possessed, and the board of education of such consolidated
city shall immediately become seized thereof in its own right, and shall from henceforth
exercise full jurisdiction and control over the public schools and school property
within such former borough or other municipality. In order to prevent conflict of authority the jurisdiction of the county superintendent
of public instruction in the county in which such city was wholly located before consolidation
shall extend over all such city after its consolidation; and the jurisdiction of
the county superintendent of public instruction in the county in which such borough
or other municipality was located shall cease to that extent. The school register or some other record shall be kept so as to show the school
attendance of pupils who reside in the different counties for the purpose of apportionment
and receipt of the state fund.
