§ acts:saved-32. (6)

6. Said commission shall have full power either in its own name or in the name of the

state of New Jersey to acquire by purchase, gift, grant, or condemnation lands, the

rights of way, structures, franchises, easements, or other rights and interests in

lands within this state, which may be necessary in the doing of the work herein authorized,

and also may change the grade of any public street, alley, thoroughfare, or right

of way in the city of Camden, and close it to public use, but this power shall not

be exercised without the approval and consent of the governing body of said city of

Camden, and said commission is further empowered to accept and receive from the governing

body of the city of Camden such grants and privileges as may be given to it.
