§ acts:saved-32. (137)
4. Subject to the payment of the costs and expenses of the operation and maintenance
of said tunnel, and to the accumulation and maintenance of the aforesaid reserve fund,
as above provided, the Port of New York Authority shall hold one-half of the balance
of the net revenues from said tunnel as agent for the state of New Jersey, and one-half
as agent for the state of New York, and shall from time to time pay over or dispose
of the share of each state as may be required by the laws of such state, now existing
or hereafter enacted. To the extent that the state of New York has heretofore directed the New York State
Bridge and Tunnel Commission to make payments to the Port of New York Authority in
aid of bridge construction out of the share of that state in the tolls and revenues
from said tunnel, the Port of New York Authority shall retain such moneys from the
share of said state and apply them to the purposes for which such payments were directed.
