§ acts:saved-15. (12)
12. That if any of the managers, or treasurer, or clerk, should, at any time within the
year for which they are elected, by death or other disability, become incapable of
executing the duties required by this act, it shall and may be lawful for the managers,
or a majority of them, or the survivors, or a majority of them, or the survivor, or
if none remain, any two of the owners or possessors, to call a meeting by notice in
writing left at the place of abode of each owner or possessor, or by advertising the
same in three of the most public places in the neighborhood, at least two weeks previous
thereto, for the purpose of supplying the vacancy or vacancies; and the persons appointed
in consequence shall have the like powers for the remainder of the year, as those
had in whose places they may be appointed.
