§ acts:saved-1. (1)

1. The governor, with the advice and consent of the senate, is hereby authorized to

appoint three suitable persons, counselors at law in this state, as commissioners,

to represent the state of New Jersey in the commission for the promotion of uniform

legislation in the United States. Each of said commissioners shall hold his office for the term of three years. Any vacancy in said commission by reason of expiration of term of office, resignation,

death, or otherwise, shall be filled by appointment by the governor in the same manner

as appointments in the first instance are provided for, except that appointments to

fill vacancies other than for expiration of term of office shall be for the unexpired

term only.
