§ 55:13a-4.

The Bureau of Housing Inspection heretofore constituted in the Division of Housing

and Urban Renewal in the Department of Community Affairs by section 23 of chapter

293 of the laws of 1966 1 shall be under the immediate supervision of a supervisor, who shall administer and

enforce the provisions of this act, subject to the supervision and control of the

commissioner, and who shall perform such other duties as the commissioner may direct

or as may be provided by law. Said supervisor shall be a licensed architect or professional engineer of this State

who shall be appointed by the commissioner subject to the provisions of Title 11 of

the Revised Statutes, Civil Service. 1
