§ 52:27d-225.

A person who violates a provision of this act shall be subject to a penalty of not

more than $5,000.00 for each offense. The fine shall be collected in a summary proceeding under “the penalty enforcement

law” ( N.J.S.2A:58-1 et seq. ) instituted by the enforcement agency responsible for the enforcement of the “Uniform

Fire Safety Act,” P.L.1983, c. 383 ( C.52:27D-192 et seq. ), in the county, municipality or fire district in which the facility of the business

entity is located.
