§ 48:16a-1.

As used in this act “ Vehicle ” means and includes any horse-drawn vehicle owned or operated in the business of

carrying passengers for hire by a driver furnished with the vehicle or by any other

person. “ Person ” means and includes any individual, co-partnership, association, corporation or joint

stock company, their lessees, trustees or receivers appointed by any court whatsoever. “ Street ” means and includes any street, avenue, park, parkway, highway, or other public place.
