§ 44:8-117.
Notwithstanding any provisions of law to the contrary, the governing body of a municipality
shall have the authority to establish staffing levels for the municipality's welfare
department for the purpose of administering public assistance pursuant to the “ Work First New Jersey General Public Assistance Act ,” P.L.1947, c. 156 ( C.44:8-107 et seq. ).
