§ 3a:24-20.

If houses, lots, tracts or parcels of real estate are so circumstanced that sale of

a part only would manifestly prejudice heirs and devisees, the court may direct a

sale of the whole or a larger part thereof than necessary for the payment of the debts. Except in such a situation, no more real estate shall be sold than shall be necessary

for that purpose.
