§ 2a:65-1.

No guardian shall make or suffer any waste, destruction or wrongful sale of the inheritance

of his ward, or of those things of which he has or may have the custody as guardian

but shall keep safely such inheritance to the use of his ward and keep, sustain and

deliver the same, together with all issues and profits, to his ward when he comes

of full age, in as good order and condition as they were when the guardian received

them. If any guardian shall make or suffer any waste, destruction or wrongful sale of the

inheritance or property of his ward, he shall be deprived of his trust and remain

liable to the ward in treble damages.
