§ 2a:44-174.

Every person, firm or corporation who shall perform work of any sort upon any watch,

clock or jewelry for a price, at the request or with the consent of the owner thereof,

his representative or any other person lawfully in possession thereof, shall have

a lien upon such watch, clock or jewelry for the sum due for such work, and may, without

process of law, retain the same at any time it is lawfully in his possession until

the sum due is paid. Said lien shall be for the work done and it shall also include the value or agreed

price, if any, of all materials furnished by the lien claimant in connection with

the work.
