§ 2a:17-5.

If under more than 1 execution issued to different counties pursuant to section 2A:17-4 of this title, property is under levy at the same time, no sale of the property of

the person against whom such executions have issued shall be made under more than

1 of such executions, except to satisfy a deficiency remaining after a prior sale. The court may, for good cause, stay the proceedings on any 1 or more of such executions,

direct under which execution a sale shall be first made or order the proceeds of any

sale to be paid into court. If a sale shall be made contrary to the provisions of this section, the party at whose

instance the executions have issued and his attorney shall be liable as trespassers

to the adverse party for all damages he may sustain thereby.
