§ 19:32-26.

a. An individual shall be appointed to fill the office of superintendent of elections,

pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1947, c. 167 ( C.19:32-26 ) and an individual shall be appointed to fill the office of deputy superintendent

of elections, pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1992, c. 17 ( C.19:32-26.1 ), in a participating county if the offices are re-established pursuant to either

section 3 or section 5 of P.L.2013, c. 17 ( C.19:32-26.5 or C.19:32-26.7 ), as the case may be. b. A participating county is hereby authorized to abolish the office of the superintendent

of elections and the office of the deputy superintendent of elections, pursuant to P.L.2013, c. 17 ( C.19:32-26.3 et seq. ), notwithstanding the provisions of section 1 of P.L.1947, c. 167 ( C.19:32-26 ).
