§ 18a:7-13.
a. When the office of county superintendent is vacated through the completion of a
current term or for any other reason, the Governor, upon the recommendation of the
Commissioner of Education, shall appoint an executive county superintendent of schools
pursuant to N.J.S.18A:7-1 . b. When the position of executive county business official is vacated through the
completion of a current term or for any other reason, the commissioner shall appoint
an executive county business official pursuant to section 53 of P.L.2007, c. 63 ( C.18A:7-11 ).
