§ 16:11-11.

If a treasurer is not elected by a congregation at its first business meeting for

be construed as a preference by the congregation that the treasurer be elected by

the board of trustees. In such case the trustees, at their first meeting thereafter, shall elect one of

their own number, or any member of the congregation, treasurer, to serve until the

next annual business meeting of the congregation, or, if no treasurer be then elected,
