§ 12:3-6.

No grant hereafter made, extending beyond the line of high-water mark, shall be in

force or operation as to so much thereof as extends below said line of high-water

mark, until the grantee or grantees shall have paid into the treasury of the state

such compensation or rentals, or secured to the state such payment or rentals for

the estate in the lands lying below the said line of mean high-water mark, contained

in and conveyed by such grant or lease as provided in section 12:3-7 of this title.
