§ acts:saved-15. (1)
1. That the owners of any body or tract of not more than two hundred acres of meadow,
marsh, swamp or lowlands in this state exposed to the overflow of the tide, may associate
and form an incorporated company for the purpose of improving such lands and for the
further purpose of erecting and constructing across any stream of water that may flow
through said land, any bank, dam, sluice, floodgates or waterworks necessary to secure
the same from the overflow of the tide.
