§ 19:13-17.
The officer to whom the notification of declination is given shall forthwith, by mail
or otherwise, inform at least 5 of the persons who signed the original petition that
such nomination has been declined; except that in the case of the nomination of electors
of President and Vice-President of the United States by the State committee of a political
party he shall inform the committee appointed by the State committee to fill vacancies,
or if there be no such committee, the chairman of the State committee.
