§ 485.280. Return of deposit

A deposit or any balance thereof must be returned to the depositor or his or her personal

representative: 1. When evidence satisfactory to the Department has been filed with it that there

has been a release from liability, a final adjudication of nonliability or an acknowledged

agreement, in accordance with paragraph (h) of subsection 1 of NRS 485.200 ; or 2. If 2 years after the date of the crash or 1 year after the date of deposit of any

security under NRS 485.230 , whichever period is longer, the Department is given reasonable evidence that there

is no action pending and no judgment rendered in such an action left unpaid.
