§ 449.0065. “Freestanding birthing center” defined
“ Freestanding birthing center ” means a facility that provides maternity care and birthing services using a family-centered
approach in which births are planned to occur in a location similar to a residence
that is not the usual place of residence of the person giving birth to a child.
