§ 81-9-118. Penalties For Violation Or Falsifying Records
Penalties for violation or falsifying records. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this part or who willfully falsifies any of the records required by this part to be kept shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $100 or more than $500 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not less than 30 days or more than 6 months or by such fine and imprisonment for the first offense and for each subsequent offense shall be deemed guilty of a felony and punished by a fine of not more than $50,000 or imprisonment in the state prison for not less than 1 year or more than 5 years, or both.
