§ 7-16-4222. Rules To Implement Part

Rules to implement part. (1) In addition to the powers and duties established in the ordinance creating the board of park commissioners and the provisions of 7-16-4223 and 7-16-4225 through 7-16-4228 , the board of park commissioners has the following powers and duties: (a) to make all rules necessary or convenient to protect and promote the growth of trees and plants in parks, streets, avenues, alleys, boulevards, and public places under the care and control of the board and for the protection of all birds inhabiting, frequenting, or nesting in the parks, streets, avenues, boulevards, and public places; (b) to make all rules for the use of parks by the public; and (c) to provide penalties for the violation of the rules. (2) The rules authorized by this section have the force of city ordinances and may be enforced as ordinances of the city are enforced.
