§ 7-15-4417. Initial Funding Of Housing Authority

Initial funding of housing authority. Immediately after the incorporation of a housing authority, the council or other governing body of a first- or second-class city included within the territorial boundaries of the authority: (1) shall make an estimate of the amount of money necessary for the administrative expenses and overhead of the housing authority during the first year following the incorporation of the housing authority; (2) shall appropriate such amount to the authority out of any money in the city treasury not appropriated to some other purpose; and (3) shall cause the money so appropriated to be paid the authority as a donation.
