§ 7-11-212. Organization Of Commission -- Meetings
Organization of commission -- meetings. (1) Not later than 80 days after the commission is authorized, the members of the commission shall meet and organize at a time that must be set by the board of county commissioners. (2) At the first meeting of the commission, one of the members appointed by the board of county commissioners must be designated by that body to serve as temporary presiding officer. As its first official act, the commission shall select a presiding officer from outside its own membership. (3) Further meetings of the commission must be held upon a call of the presiding officer, the vice presiding officer in the absence or inability of the presiding officer, or a majority of the members of the commission.
