§ 20-25-706. Eligibility

Eligibility. Any local governing body; state or local administrative agency, department, board, commission; judicial, legislative, or other governmental unit; or nonprofit private organization is eligible to employ Montana students under the program as determined by the board of regents of higher education and within the funding limitations of the program, which eligibility: (1) will not result in the displacement of employed workers or impair existing contracts for services; (2) will not involve any partisan or nonpartisan political activity associated with a candidate or contending group or faction in an election for public or party office; (3) will not involve the construction, operation, or maintenance of so much of any facility as is used or to be used for sectarian instruction or as a place of worship; and (4) in the case of nonprofit organizations other than governmental units, will result in employment which is in the general public interest rather than in the interest of a particular group.
