§ 2-15-3502. Board Of Environmental Review

Board of environmental review. (1) There is a board of environmental review. (2) The board consists of seven members appointed by the governor. The members must be representative of the geographic areas of the state. One member must have expertise or background in hydrology. One member must have expertise or background in local government planning. One member must have expertise or background in one of the environmental sciences. One member must have expertise or background as a county health officer or as a medical doctor. (3) A vacancy occurring on the board must be filled by the governor in the same manner and from the same representative area as the original appointment. (4) The board is designated as a quasi-judicial board for purposes of 2-15-124 . (5) The board is attached to the department of environmental quality for administrative purposes only as provided in 2-15-121 .
