§ 19-2-702. Membership Service
Membership service. A member who is not retired must receive membership service for all periods of service, regardless of hours worked or compensation received during that service. The membership service must be used to determine: (1) whether a member is vested; (2) when the member is eligible for service retirement, early retirement, or disability retirement; or (3) the eligibility of beneficiaries for survivorship benefits.
