§ 217.045. Federal funds, authority to receive — applications for funds, procedure.
1. The department shall have the authority to enter into arrangements with the federal government for the receipt and disbursement of federal funds under any applicable federal guidelines, subject to appropriations, to carry out the purposes of the department and shall submit such plans and reports as may be required.
2. The director shall approve such applications for federal assistance administered through the department as may be considered advisable after consultation with the appropriate division director.
3. The department shall also have the authority to receive and disburse such other funds as may be appropriated and directed by the general assembly.
