§ 27-67-511. Administration of the article.
All administrative provisions of the Sales Tax Law, including those which fix damages, penalties and interest for nonpayment of taxes and for noncompliance with the provisions of said Sales Tax Law, and all other requirements and duties imposed upon the taxpayer, shall apply to all persons liable for taxes under the provisions of this article, and the commissioner shall exercise all power and authority and perform all the duties with respect to taxpayers under this article as are provided in said Sales Tax Law, except where there is conflict, then the provisions of this article shall control. Any damages, penalties, or interest collected by the commissioner for nonpayment of taxes, or for noncompliance with the provisions of this article, shall be paid into the general fund of the state treasury by the commissioner. The commissioner may, from time to time, make such rules and regulations, not inconsistent with this article, as may be deemed necessary to carry out its provisions and such rules and regulations shall have the full force and effect of law. The administration of this article is vested in and shall be exercised by the chairman of the State Tax Commission, and the enforcement of any of the provisions of this article in any of the courts of this state shall be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the chairman of the State Tax Commission, who shall from time to time promulgate such rules and regulations, not inconsistent with this article, as he may deem necessary to enforce its provisions.
