§ 67-1-87. General penalty provision.
Any person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this chapter for which no other penalty is specifically provided herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Any person convicted of a violation of any rules or regulations promulgated by the commission under the authority of this chapter shall be subject to a civil penalty to be assessed by the commission in an amount not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to be deposited into the State General Fund.
