§ 8A.459. 8A.459 State employee pay and allowances — electronic funds transfer.
Effective July 1, 2011, notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, all pay and allowances to state employees shall be paid via electronic funds transfer, unless otherwise provided pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement. A state employee may elect to receive pay and allowances as paper warrants in lieu of electronic funds transfers, but the department shall charge an administrative fee for processing such paper warrants. However, the department may, for good cause shown, waive the administrative fee. The fee may be automatically deducted from the state employee’s pay and allowances before the warrant is issued to the state employee. 2010 Acts, ch 1031, §78 Mode of payment, see §91A.3 Electronic funds transfers, see chapter 527 Wed Dec 10 21:45:58 2025 Iowa Code 2026, Section 8A.459 (26, 0)
