§ 257.49. 257.49 Duties of advisory council.
The gifted and talented children advisory council shall: 1. Elect a chairperson and vice chairperson from the membership of the advisory council. 2. Meet as often as deemed necessary by the advisory council. 3. Advise and assist a local board of directors in the establishment of gifted and talented children programs, when requested by the local board. 4. Review program plans and proposed budgets for a gifted and talented children program, in consultation with a gifted and talented children consultant employed by the area education agency, when requested by a local board. 5. When requested by a local board, evaluate the results of a gifted and talented children program and file a written report together with recommendations for improvement or change with the board of directors of the applicable school district, the area education agency and the department of education.
