§ 252E.6. 252E.6 Duration of health benefit plan coverage.
1. A child is eligible for medical support for the duration of the obligor’s child support obligation. However, the child’s eligibility for coverage under a health benefit plan shall be governed by all applicable plan provisions including, but not limited to, eligibility and insurability standards. 2. For cases for which services are being provided pursuant to chapter 252B, the department shall notify the employer when there is no longer a current order for medical support in effect for which the department is responsible.
